The top-level governance for C3.ai DTI is managed through a four-person Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is responsible for final decisions on research directions, approving Calls for Research Proposals, and determining recipients of research awards (based on the input from the Executive Committee). The Advisory Board determines the slate of Visiting Scholars, the appointment of Chief Scientists, and the admission of new Consortium Partners and Industry Partners.
The Advisory Board is assisted by recommendations from the C3.ai DTI Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is co-chaired by the Co-Directors and also includes as members: two Co-Chief Scientists, a representative of C3.ai, one faculty member designated as the “Campus Lead” from each of the Consortium Partners, and one representative of each of the Industry Partners.
The Executive Committee is responsible for procuring unbiased reviews of proposals, making recommendations for recipients of research grants, recommending allocation of financial and computing support, recommending new areas for Calls for Research Proposals, providing oversight of ongoing research projects, and developing a slate of Visiting Scholars.
