Chief Scientific Officer at Microsoft and C3.ai DTI co-founder and advisory board member Eric Horvitz delivered the Tanner Lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Human Values at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on November 2, 2022.

In the hour-long lecture (starts 11:25), Horvitz surveys the origins and nature of human intelligence from the Olduvai Gorge and European caves through modern milestones and the development of Artificial Intelligence.

“AI is truly the fire in our caves,” says Horvitz.
